Mike Hampson has over 30 years of experience as a performing musician, and has appeared in restaurants, bars and lounges, as well as at weddings, private parties, charity and corporate functions. He first picked up the guitar at age 12 and began his professional career as a solo act at 14, appearing on network television in Montreal on programs for young up and coming artists. Since that time he has expanded his shows to include songs on both the piano and the 12-string guitar.

Although he has performed in many cities across Canada, his most recent work has been in southern Ontario including weekly shows at the Pillar & Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake (for 4 seasons), the Glenerin in Mississauga, the Jakobstettel in St. Jacobs and at a variety of bars/restaurants/lounges in the Toronto and Hamilton/Burlington areas. During the 90s Mike also held a “house gig” at the Pepperwood in Burlington for several years where he had the opportunity to open shows for well known artists such as David Essig and Garnett Rodgers.

Most recently he had the privilege of playing at an end-of-year gathering for the Mayors and Executive Committee of the Region of York. Mike has raised a family of 3 boys and until November 2004 held a full time position in the medical industry. Since that time he has made his living as a musician and performer.
